Photos from The Buffalo Run

In a post last week, I talked about the buffalo trail run I was going to participate in.  It was truly awe-inspiring.  At one point in the run, 10 American bison crossed the path ahead of me.  Antelope ran in the distance.  And ravens coasted along on the spring breeze.

It was a physically-challenging run.  The trail was littered with rather large buffalo chips and was alternately sandy and rocky.  But, it was so amazing, I know will run it again next year.

Here are some photos of/from the island and a couple of the buffalo.  I wish I had been closer, and that I’d had my camera with me during the run itself.

Finished! Oddly, or not, they served buffalo stew.
